More Beer Can Art

Sir Norman's email of Beer Can Cars (see yesterday's post) and Lady Suzanne's comment about a Root Beer Bi-Plane, got me wondering what other Beer Can Art is out there (and there is a ton).

For example:

Each year the Turkish beer Efes Pilsen hosts a contest featuring art made out of their brand of beer cans. Here are some of the participants.
The artists spared no details on the project, creating impressive works featuring

miniature people playing instruments

elaborate buildings

and an awesome airplane

And my favorite: Knights!

I spent much of my youth -- along with my brothers -- building model planes, spaceships, and automobiles. It seems that there was always a project being glued up in our tiny room. Looking back on it, we were exposed to a 24/7 overdose of toxic inhalants (which might explain a lot of things about me).

Anyway, uhhhh, where was I? Oh, models. So, Elin Nordegren.... no, not that kind of model?

Models.

So, I was reminded of all this when Sir Norman of William Nottingham Court sent me the following images. The artist is, unfortunately, unidentified, but he/she must be an aswesome talent.

I am introducing a new series to the KMSA blog to complement our series "Knight Time". In the Spirit of our simple beginnings, and inspired by a recent book I received from the Murray State University Alumni Association titled "Great Quotes from Great Leaders", I give you the same.

Today's first edition is led by Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), American printer, publisher, author, inventor, scientist and diplomat. Basically the total embodiment of what it takes to be a Knight of Moleskine, Spirit and Ale!
