Any Way The Wind Blows

I lamented to Sir Hook in an E the other night.... that we are so busy living in the Now that we have been espousing in this blog for so long... that we can't find the time to sit and write the long and spiritually philosophical Blogs that used to grace the pages of the KMSA in the early days...

And then I thought....awww what the heck. Its Thanksgiving in America, they'll be all home in the bosoms of their families, and some will be home with just their bosoms. Who cares about spirituality....we're Thankful..right? We're healthy
(ish) ...right? Away with all this Thinking-Thinking...

Get round a table groaning with the food with your extended families....or if you have to, get round your extended table with your groaning families....and with Turkey and trimmings and pumpkin pie and fireside ales and your best stretchy pants, celebrate the joy of having staggered blindly though another year.....and then all gather round the Computer and click on this link below and watch this inspired piece of Philisophical thought...and if at the end you aren't Smiling and Rocking Out...then I'm sorry, the KMSA can't cure you.

Happy Thanksgiving Pilgrims, from the UK! Where it is just another cold and wet Thursday.

  2. Thank you for the laugh this morning,
    and the words of "wisdom"

We're all so very thankful that two/three Davids met once upon a time and created this blog!

Today will be spent with most of our families at each of our mother's homes.
Not all will be there, but our thoughts and love cross the miles.

Memories of past years and those who no longer gather with us will add the sweetening to the meals.

    Happy Thursday/Thanksgiving !

  3. Sir Dayvd,

So, after cooking three more Beer Recipes last night, and cleaning the mountain of dirty dishes I created, I settled down in front of the brain-rot tube to watch a little TV. Specifically, the Food Network's Dinner: Impossible, where he and his team is set up with an "impossible" dinner challenge that he somehow always manages to pull off.

The Host is Chef Robert Irvine.
Bio: A native of England, Irvine joined the British Royal Navy at the age of 15 and his skills in the kitchen soon came to the attention of his superiors. As part of his service for the Royal Navy, Irvine was selected to work on board the Royal Yacht Britannia where the Royal Family and their entourages regularly dined. During his time training US Navy chefs as part of a guest chef program, Irvine worked in the White House kitchens and his creations were served to high-ranking government officials.

In over 25 years in the culinary profession, he has cooked his way through Europe, the Far East, the Caribbean and the Americas, in hotels and on the high seas. In his career, he has also had the opportunity to serve 6,000 servicemen and women on a US aircraft carrier and plan the menu at a spectacular celebrity-studded after-party at the Academy Awards.

Irvine's first book, Mission: Cook! (Harper Collins, 2007) was published in September, 2007.

In last night's episodes (especially stressful) he actually said "I'm having feakin' kittens" or darn close to it.

While we celebrate the Pioneer Spirit that is America, you can enjoy: The World's Biggest Liar Competition
    When: Each year in November

yeah "having Kittens " with the added frickin' freakin' in the middle is a common phrase here.
and means to be very anxious about something...

i have now located a site that explains the meaning for you all..
so you don't have to have kittens wondering about it . :)
