Sir Lance of Brentwood (with my daughter Lucy, and Lady Suzanne of Greenbriar) in front of Amicalola Falls -- one of the tallest waterfalls in the world -- tumbling 729 feet down the steep side of Amicalola Mountain in six cascades

Seems that we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. Sir Lance of Brentwood, when not working, must watch way too much Dr. Phil.
Here's a message he sent me this morning:

By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished.' So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.

Please pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of Inner Peace

Okay, so I know that Sir Lance knows better. And, in reality, he finds inner peace being with family, hiking around Amicalola Mountain, playing golf, purchasing very expensive and cool gifts for his favorite brother-in-law...

But, the advice of
'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished' sounds sound. Thanks for the reminder!

  2. Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "tumbling waters," is an appropriate name for these 729-foot falls ~~ the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River (it's in Georgia). An 8.5 mile approach trail leads from the park to Springer Mountain, the southern end of the 2,135-mile Appalachian Trail.

We've hiked some of the trail -- I think we have 2,132 miles to go!

  4. That is sound advice! That's why I haven't been participating lately with the blog! I had too many bottles of wine, beer and other fun things to finish in my basement cave! Funny thing is, I woke up this morning a little fuzzy, speaking Cherokee and feeling very peaceful because I couldn't move!
