A toast to the future
A toast to the past
A toast to Knights, far and near
Tonight I raise my glass

Hogmanay Celebrations
Laughter and good cheer
May you ring in the '09
With good friends and good beer

Here's wishing you more happiness
Than all my words can tell,
Not just alone for New Years Eve
But for all 2009 as well

Remember the words of T.S. Eliot
As New Year's bells are ringing
“Last year's words belong to last year's language...
To make an end is to make a beginning.”

And of Eleanor Roosevelt
As the Times Square Ball gleams
“The future belongs to those who believe
In the beauty of their dreams.”

While waiting to pen fresh ink
To our 2009 Moleskines
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

  1. Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot
    and days of auld lang syne?

    For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
    For auld lang syne

    We twa hae run aboot the braes
    And pou'd the gowans fine;
    we've wander'd mony a weary foot
    Sin' auld lang syne

    We two hae paidled i' the burn,
    Frae mornin' sun till dine;
    But seas between us braid hae roar'd
    Sin' auld lang syne

    And here's a hand, my trusty friend,
    And gie's a hand o' thine;
    We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
    For auld lang syne

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot
    and days of auld lang syne?

    For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
    For auld lang syne

  2. a dilema
    is it Happy New Year,
    then Rabbit, Rabbit?

    or the other way around??

    either way - we're saying it to you all!

    Sir B and Lady S after a wonderful party with old friends, playing oldy-weds (a game we've all played for many a New Year's Eve)and banging on pans on the porch : )

  3. Happy New Year from Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal in Orlando! Captain Hook and his Curvy Crew rang in the New Year with the Doobie Brothers, Italian Tenors, Fireworks & Martini's at The Thirsty Fish! Rabbits are still dancing in our heads! Lady Allwinky begins another year of seducing a younger man...that is until May 23!
